Pipe Band Chicken is the brainchild of a group of pipers and drummers who adopted him after an exciting rescue operation from a chicken restaurant 1 hours drive north of Portland Oregon, just of highway I 5.
Due to the very traumatic conditions of his captivity, where he was forced to crow every time the door to the restaurant was opened, Pipe Band Chicken soon found that he had, alas, lost his voice...... HOWEVER as a result of modern day keyhole surgery, the innovative minds of his newfound friends and a plastic bass drone reed that had been played in the last three major championships, Pipe Band Chickens voice was soon restored. Unfortunately the tonal qualities of the reed were designed for use in bagpipes and while the implant operation was a complete success, Pipe Band Chicken was left with what can only be described as the honk of a goose rather than a crow of a chicken..... BUT undeterred by this Pipe Band Chicken has vowed to try each and every make of reed until he can restore his honking voice to its former crowing glory.
As a result of his rescue, Pipe Band Chicken has come to appreciate the company of pipers and drummers from around the world and following a very enjoyable day at the Portland Highland Games (his first ever competition ) he has sworn to attend as many venues as possible. This web site is intended to provide the general public with memorable pictures of pipe band chickens travels in his hunt for his ultimate goal in life....... that of one day becoming used as a pipe bag in a prize winning band at the World Pipe band Championships.
Pipe Band Chicken enjoys his first ever competition at Portland Highland Games
